Our Staff – School Team

Our current staffing complement consists of teachers and program managers. Teachers are certified to teach in Ontario by the Ontario College of Teachers and deliver academic programming in the various content areas. Program managers deliver non-academic programming, including art, outdoor education, wood shop, equine, farm, and other vocational programming.

Teachers further their professional development and obtain additional formal qualifications from the Ontario College of Teachers in special education and/or specializations in various subject specific disciplines. The Bayfield organization also provides on-going professional development in a number of areas including behaviour management, student motivation, crisis management and de-escalation, and various subjects of relevance from the clinical domain.

Bayfield School also enjoys a complement of educational assistants and childcare workers to further support the educational development of our students throughout our programming.
